Inaugural Sunday morning challenge - 2nd September 2012!

This is our space to follow the Sunday morning challenge and any other thoughts or comments on the subject of our shared passion of golf.

So, the inaugural Sunday morning challenge was held on 2nd September 2012. Unless otherwise indicated, we'll assume all matches are played at Lyon Verger. The format is a stableford medal, with each player playing a round as if in competition mode; the winner being the player with the highest number of stableford points (with count back if necessary!). A prize will be awarded at the end of each calendar year to the player with the highest number of victories. Participants in the inaugural match were - Ian, Neil and Tim. The winner (37 points) was Tim.

Watch out for the next challenge match when the pack goes chasing the early leader!

Plenty of golf interest this weekend:

Rory is -11, one behind VJ Singh, after 9 of the 2nd round in the BMW Championship at Crooked Stick in the US.

In the Netherlands, Greame Storm is leading on -11 after 2 rounds in the KLM Open.

Watch out for our own Ross Drummond, joint leader on -5 after 1 round on the Senior Tour in Germany WINSTONopen course.

Last but not least, let's see what we can do on Sunday in the Green Invest competition at the Verger!

Well done Tim for creating this blog. I'm sure from this small beginning it will grow into something enormous. The golf calendar for October to November has just been posted on the verger site. Plenty of golf to come!
